I Believe their is a lot more 7 pounders then a person would believe I have seen many pictures of tournament competitors on facebook with 7 lbers. seen a7 lber in the spring once. Have a guy in my school with a mount of a 7 lber caught during the winter. Friend of my dad's was ice fishing a few years back and caught a bass in the 8 pound class but did not want to report it because they liked the privacy of their lake and didn't want it to start getting crowded. So i what im getting at is i think they is a lot out their but they are either really smart or my theory: they feed at night and eat large meals so they don't have to eat often an during the day when they are more apt to be caught by an angler.
