  1. @Crow Horse: Your fishing trip looks like my fishing trips: pretty shoreline, healthy bass, and your boat being pulled around by those healthy bass!
  2. I second A-Jay: Good luck tomorrow. Now I have to Google "zoom magnum ultravibe speed worm" to see what the heck that is!
  3. Big bass, @Pumpkinseed Lizard!
  4. Whoa, I should fish this tournament. Seriously, good luck and enjoy your trip! Looking forward to pics and video and reports.
  5. You might remember that I recently posted a couple yellow perch in a bass fishing report. I was frankly so happy to catch them and I think others enjoyed seeing them too: For whatever reasons, I don't even catch many pickerel nowadays. It's 65% LMB and 31% SMB and 3.94% pickerel and 0.06% yellow perch, which explains why two yellow perch thrill me.
  6. @A-Jay: I'm thinking a good thought for you, Andy. All my best, Katie
  7. I just wish I had a pic of a rock bass. We loved catching them as kids. We used to ride our bikes about 15 miles to a little creek which had a deep hole and we were as happy to catch rock bass as all the other fish. They're feisty! Well, Johnny Law is the law, so he's allowed to do that.
  8. Too many of these guys on patrol:
  9. Who are you mocking, @A-Jay?
  10. Wait. Aren't you the thread police?
  11. @softwateronly: Those are plump bass. So cool that you catch smallies within sight of skyscrapers.
  12. Absolutely. You might not have reached peak knowledge yet, but you'll never be stronger than you are right now. Enjoy!
  13. @Pumpkinseed Lizard: I also had good luck at the end of this season with the Yamamoto Zako in Chartreuse Shad Laminate, but lawdy, it's a three bass and done bait. So soft.
  14. I too can be wistful about the simple, ol' days and I too can dream about fishing from a bass boat, not so much for the 20 rods, but for the comfort and stability.
  15. 40 fish? That's a canoe number! You have the most luxurious canoe I have ever seen. Seriously, that bluegill is a beast. Nice bass too!
  16. Which magazine?
  17. My Mayors don't last long for me too, but with my VMC Heavy Duty underspins, I squeeze out more than three bass.
  18. This made me laugh because I pictured all the bass boats roaring away and me in my scuffed canoe trying not to tip in their wakes. And the first announcer would say, "Swamp Girl has taken on some water and might sink. Her canoe is that low in the water. Wait! Five five-pounders have actually swum into her canoe!" Second announcer, "She's yelling, 'My entire canoe is a livewell!'" First announcer: "And she's paddling back with a big smile on her face." Second announcer: "That smile is pure confidence. She thinks she's won the tourney without a single cast...and she just might have. Those are some big gals in her livewell canoe. Here's hoping she makes it back to shore. She's looking pretty tippy."
  19. I believe you. I've seen photos of your yard. It's...
  20. If I'm fishing a lure that has been hot, I will often pre-rig two rods with the same lure. Sometimes I can only catch 15 or 25 bass before an outfit or lure goes down for various reasons.
  21. I love the Mayor. Nice haul!
  22. @TnRiver46: That 19-incher is a healthy looking fish.
  23. I've seen your photos of you on the water catching this and that with friends and family. You're doing just fine.
  24. I so agree with your self-assessment. You're young and therefore at peak strength and agility, but you're also fishing from shore and a paddleboard. A paddleboard! And you're catching monsters from shore and on your paddleboard and I can imagine what you could do with a bass boat and electronics. Oh, do I ever understand. Go back and read the threads from just five or ten years ago. They're filled with guys who LOVED Bass Resource and bassing and are no longer here. I'm certain that some of them reached a point where they could no longer fish and went radio silent.
