  1. Sorta. It's mad science. I think the guy below ran the plant. He actually heard a heartbeat in the gray soup that became the hot dogs:
  2. @Pat Brown, I hope the fire department was there because you are ON FIRE, man! I'm pretty sure they hold a festival out west to celebrate you each year, called On Fire Man or something like that.
  3. What a mensch! Karma, Baby! More karma.
  4. @T-Billy That is so cool. Three bites and three species, all beauties, made all the sweeter by a pair of skunkings. You're a heckuva fisherman, Tim.
  5. I had a cousin who worked at a hot dog plant. He took me there. That ended my hot dog eating. Haven't had one for about 40 years.
  6. I caught some 14-inchers that were fat beauties and proudly posted them.
  7. Heck, no, worms aren't cheating. I tried them several times in 2022 and caught a few and would have stuck with them IF they'd caught as many fish as artificial lures, which they didn't. In northwestern Ontario, I used leeches everyday for smallmouth. They catch as many bass as lures up there, so I alternate, depending upon the situation.
  8. @AlabamaSpothunter Thanks, Alex, you made me laugh. I checked the two closest ponds two days ago and they were still all ice, but I'm thinking I might see soft water within a week or so. When I go out, I'll be wearing my wetsuit and will stay so close to the shore, but it would be great to finally catch a bass or two. They'll be shivering if I do! @The BaitMonkey, I love your fish! Also, you have impoverished me. I'm living in a cardboard box because of you.
  9. B-b-but all my 14-inchers weight four pounds!
  10. Curse you, BassMan and Bob, who serve the bait monkey! Now I just placed an order for TicklerZ's in coppertreuse.
  11. Hey, we agree on sliders and gratitude, but who couldn't be grateful with a slider in one hand, another in the other hand, and one in the mouth?
  12. Don't worry. I'm not going anywhere. I'm addicted to Bass Resource. I crave BR like I crave these:
  13. Well, then, you solved life's big puzzle, which is to be present and grateful. You need solve no more. With that, I take my leave:
  14. I thought ^this^ was a funny post, but alas no chuckles. It's funny because I sometimes upload so many photos that BR says I can't add anymore to a post.
  15. When it comes to numbers of good-sized bass, I outcatch 90% of the YouTubers and here's what I know about bass fishing: very, very little. I've caught thousands of them, but they still befuddle me. If I had a good bead on bass, I might quit fishing. The fun is solving the daily puzzles, week after week and year after year. Here's what I've learned: Take the road less traveled, have at least four rods rigged, stay stealthy, and keep you line wet. So, my YouTube video would last about ten seconds, but it would be worth watching.
  16. Way to go, @The Bassman, @thediscochef, and @Cbump!
  17. @WIGuide P-p-p-p-p-payments? New deal: We'll make the trade when you make the final payment. I'd write more, but my village is missing its idiot.
  18. Woo-hoo, @WIGuide, you caught some beauties! Beautiful boat too. I will do a trade for my solo canoe and I will throw in a six-pack of Leinie's too. Deal?
  19. Fascinating. It sheds light on why a sow with cubs is so dangerous.
  20. Okay, okay, I'll post more fish pics in the future.
  21. That's a great photo of the Terror Goose! Speaking of great, the GREAT Texas author, Larry McMurtry, in writing about his west Texas childhood, said that it wasn't rattlesnakes that rattled him, but geese. They were his predators and he was their prey. Bob, if you lost " lost two nice ones in 3 minutes," you decided to fish the Katie Way. However, I can't remember well enough to recall lures the Bob Way. I simply don't have enough memory or perhaps I have too many lures to remember their names. I'm going to photograph the lures I bought just this winter and post that photo at BR. Come the warmth, I think I'll photograph the lures that catch fish and include those in my trip reports. I did that a few times last year. I think I've realized the same, Bob. When I fished the coffee-colored, tannin-stained lakes of northwestern Ontario for smallies, I used orange and chartreuse lures. There's tannin in Maine's waters, but not as much as Ontario's, so I use lures here that look like the shad and golden shiners that Maine bass eat. Thanks, Bob. At first, seeing all the bass photos was fun for me. Now it's driving me KUH-RAY-ZEE!
  22. @N Florida Mike, you hooked Evan! @Pat Brown, you hooked a buddy too! @AlabamaSpothunter, those are three gorgeous bass. In case you guys think I've grown too old and soft to fish, here's a live lake cam of a Maine lake.:
  23. I loved this latest line of posts. Those Dreamsicle trout, T-Billy's first bass, 45 bass, and the discochef's got his groove back!
  24. I loved your trip report, Bob. So happy you caught two tankers! I like all the details too. I wish I had a mind for remembering every lure and color name like you and so many others do. I just checked another two nearby ponds. Still ice.
  25. It would be an auger if I owned one.
