I changed my mind I'm going with Abu Garcia Veritas with the Pflueger President 6930. What size fluorocarbon can you use on this reel? I know it says 6# or 8# could I stretch it and possibly put 10# and how much if I do?

What size is the plug for the boat? I can't remember if we left it in or it's gone in case I need to get another.

I fish mostly senko's if that helps. I need the best rod for bottom contact.

I'm wondering if anyone uses a spinning reel with micro guides and if it's a better set up than standard guides. I can only spend $100.00 on a pole and my reel of choice is going to be plueger 6930. Rod choices narrowed down to Abu Garcia vendetta, veritas, Falcon BuCoo, or Skeet Reese rod. I was blessed with twins but the wife shafted me on a high end rod.

We had twin boys and couldn't afford daycare in jersey so since she makes more than me I got to stay home.lol

I was looking at some high end rods. But because I'm a stay at home dad and we are getting ready to make the move to North Carolina my wife has knocked me down a few pegs. So I'm looking at the Duckett Ghost rod but I need a spinning reel but a cheap one what's the best out there for under $60. Also going to be looking for a fishing partner in Mooresville NC area. I see alot of reels that say 4 bearings, 6 bearings, what is a good amount of bearings for a good reel.

Thanks for the input. Yeah my buddy got a bait caster and he doesn't know how to use it and he gets ticked off after every cast cause he gets a nest in the line every time. Just watching him I'll stick with the spinning reel. Lol

I just got back in to fishing last year for the first time in 15 years. I bought two cheap poles and the reels stink. I'm going to keep the poles and upgrade the reels. I use mostly senko's and the occasional crank bait. I don't want to spend a boat load of money since we just had twin boys and need all the money I can keep. Lol let me know thanks. Sean
