  1. I went on a guided crappie trip one time and we met up with the guide early at the minniow buckett restruant and store where all the guides meet for breakfast. We were out back meeting up in the rear parking lot where all the guides and regulars had their rigs parked while they ate breakfast. Our guide went from boat to boat looking on the deck of each rig till he found one with a carolina rig tied on. He took the rod out of the bungee and stripped off about 6 feet of line then cut it at the reel twisted the ends togather spooled it back on the reel, and put it back under the bunghee strap on the deck. I didnt see it happen but I can just visualise that 3/4 oz weight and lizzad just sailing into oblivian on the frist cast and the guide and client watching it sail away.

Where do you go to set your staus and avatar
  3. That is way cool stuff right there.
  4. On lake fork they sometimes use a 5 inch spoons they are honkers . Never tried it but it should keep the sand bass away some. You get some big bites on spoons that size. Find A road bed with shad or fish on your finder and jig straight under the boat is one way. Probably the best way.
  5. saw a woman driving her boat topless! I was on the bank and she came right up to me to show em off.
  6. Like evey one said any soft bait and some hard baits can be used. I use braid with a floro leader to get a better feel of the bite, that way you wont get so many fish gut hooked.
  7. For 3 hunert and some odd dollars it should cast its self. There on the TW page, Its the coastal model. Prettty blue model
  8. Better do some night fishin so the couch monster dont get ya!
  9. The pretty blue ones are a knockout even if they dont cast good, your gona look good with 12 of those suckers lined up on the deck of your boat. You would have to have a security to guard em while you weigh in but you would look cool. Man are they sweet.
  10. In was just thinking the larger spool would cast better but if it s larger in length instead of diameter I guess it dosent mater there is jsut a fraction of a pound differance in the 3000 and the 2500. I guess this calls for a road trip to see for myself. Thanks again for the replies I live in texas so the fish we catch here can tear up some stuff in the jungles we fish. Probably need 10 to 15 pound line. I have never fished a drop shot. I have spent most of my time pitchin and worm fishin and cranks.
  11. Thanks for the replies guys that will help.
  12. Your rite but is it to big I guess is what im getting at thanks
  13. Anyone use the 3000 size stradic for drop shotin or is the 2500 the deal. By the way im a rookie on this site so howdy to all!
