  1. 4's and 6's. Gamakatzu Round Bend Short Shank. (Magic Eye optional). I also add split rings for better hook rotation.
  2. Stork started following VA Hog , Fairy Stone , 23" Chain Pickerel and 7 others
  3. Gamakatsu Offset Worm hook 2's, 1/16th oz bullethead. A slow, constant drag across the bottom.
  4. A young whippersnapper at the pond I was fishing noticed I was catching and asked if I had another popper. So I obliged him, but to no avail. So I then tied on for him a T-rigged green pkn. Recon Worm and smeared it with a dab of Megastrike. Then I double-checked the drag on his undersized Zebco panfish spinning combo spooled with what looked like 4# test. Before I knew it he was fighting this little beaut.

I would try a slow retrieve with a shallow suspending jerkbait. It's a subtle, yet visual presentation for spooky bass in clear water.
  6. I read an article the other day that said fishermen were the most likely to be killed by lightning strikes. Apparently, fishermen are twice as likely to be killed by a bolt than golfers (who accounted for the second most lightning deaths.) So be safe out there.
  7. When the bolts holding your seat in place start to rust out, change them. o.O
  8. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for the Wii has an excellent fishing mini-game that many still consider to be the best fishing experience available on any system. You can fish a Spook, Torpedo, popper, a spoon, and a weedless frog. Theres' s also cane pole fishing from the bank.
  9. When I get bit I like to say, "Think I got snagged on a fish face." and "Cue the banjo!"
  10. I disagree with this issuing. The purpose of this law is to prevent fishermen purchasing licenses and leaving them at home. If you can produce the license, you shouldn't be ticketed. And truth be told, in this digital age of information, there's no reason for this law whatsoever- except to fleece fishermen.
  11. Got snagged on a castnet once that was stuck on rocks and whatnot. Pulled it up as far as I could and it was full of lures. Got a chart./black kvd 2.5 and two more crankbaits. There were many more assorted lures attached to the net but it was winter and I couldn't reach into the water to work them out. Fishing a church pond once, Iooked down at my feet, and in the slop was a like-new Lucky Craft Live Pointer80mr (suspending) in "Nikishi" color. Also found a Booyah Pad Crasher once.
  12. I can abide it until they ask me for my catch. "Oh man, you're not gonna keep it?" "Nope, it's called "catch and release" you may have heard about it."
  13. Baitmate LIVE is my favorite so far.
  14. Moon Pies and glass Cokes.
