  1. I tried using pop-r's at my local park, until I saw a guy catching some medium size bass after only being there for about 15 minutes. I found out he was using a crawdad or beaver soft bait. I went out to walmart last night and picked up the only beavers I could find. They happened to be that UV tightline stuff but I've never heard of it and seeing as how I saw how reactive the fish were to beavers at the local park, I figured I should buy em. Plus, a 5 pack for around $6 isn't too bad I don't think. Tried out the new gear today and the fish were biting pretty quickly, I mean like first 10 casts. The only problem is I couldn't set them, they might've been too small or it's more probable that I'm just a total novice at fishing. Anyway, after about an hour of trying these UV things out I pulled out a smaller maybe 8-9 inch bass lookin fish. After a few more tries I packed up and went to another pond by my house. By this time it was pretty dark out so I figured if this UV trick worked, it would work best now. After about 45 minutes of no bites at all, I finally pulled up a good size bass (for me, at least); probably a good 13-14 inches. I read up on UV Tightlines and apparently no one believes in them at all and thinks they're a gimmick, so I figured I'd try to help anyone that is looking for a little more information. I love fishing but I'm a terrible fisherman, so I think for being pretty bad at fishing, I did pretty well with these lures. I caught the first one on the watermelon-ish one and caught the bigger one at night on the blue one (sorry for the terrible picture quality).
