I fish the BASS Elite series and have the option of using ANY Line/Braid on the market. I make my living fishing so you can be sure I will test EVERY line out there. Your connection to the fish has very little to do with the rod and reel and everything to do with the line. I like several braids on the market but my choice is the Seaguar braid. This braid will let me outcast the other brands. I'm not saying outcast by 50 feet but I can get another 15-20 for sure. There is no knot slip and I can use the line over and over without changing it out. Like Mark M said you can use it from drop shot to froggin from 10lb to 50lb it all works without a hitch. We all know when braid cuts back on itself on the reel and fouls up it's a real pain in the butt. With Seaguar that is reduced to almost never. Don't take some other guys word for it, my dad can't tie a knot for beans and for this reason ALL lines stink to him. This could be the guy giving you your information.
