I think it was 1984...I was fishing on Conesus Lake here in NY with my grandfather. There was a guy flying a biplane over the lake, and he was doing all kinds of loops and crazy rolls. On one of his loops my grandfather says "he's not gonna make it"! Well, he didn't! The guy crashed his plane head first into the lake. We were in his small fishing boat with a 9.9 Johnson on it, and were about a eighth mile away so we motored over to help. By the time we got there someone had already pulled him out of the water. Craziest thing I've ever seen while fishing!!!

I use a cranking specific rod with 50# braid and a 15# floro leader. I like the combination...
