Fishing a local tournament this Sunday on Lake Harris in Leesburg, Fl. Any and all tips are appreciated. This is my very first tournament.

Starting to fish tournements. Extremely green when it comes to baitcasting. I did a little research and picked up an Abu Garcia SilverMax reel and a 6'6" Ugly Stick litePro medium heavy to start learning. Any tips or comments on equipment are welcome. Trying to become a better and more informed angler.

I would like to get into a club in the Central Florida/Lake County area. I am looking for a club that runs tournaments Sundays. I am new to the tournament circuit but learn fast and am willing to take advice and use it. I am currently a non-boater but am working on fixing that issue. I am able to show up to most if not all tournys and just love to have fun on the water.

Hiya folks, Just moved to a house on Lake Griffin in Leesburg, Fl. kind of a dream come true.. been fishing all my life and havent had the fortune to fish Griffin. Unfortunately my boat is out of commission at the moment but I did catch a bass off the dock my first couple of casts. I am looking to get on the water much more. Work has kept my on land unfortunately, it does pay the bills though. Looking to meet new people who love fishing like I do. If anyone has any tips on Lake Griffin they would be greatly appreciated. Also looking to get into some tournaments if possible.
