  1. finding fish in stone mountain lake you need a fish finder to find the holes that fish hide. fishing the banks are good but have a lot of tree branches to loose your rigs in. I will soon have a chart of the lake complete showing the best spots and holes to fish with bottom contores and GPS cordinance. to date there is no lake maps for stone mountain availble. I am on the lake a lot and easy to find as my boat id very different then most you see there see my profile picture. if you see me stop and say hello
  2. I fish in stone mountain lake all year long. There is good fishing there if not the bass it would be the crappies. Winter fishing is great for nice two lb. crappies. I have been working to create a map of the lake using a Lowrance Elite-5 chartplotter and marking where to find fish, To date I have found 17 really good spots for crappies in the stone mountain lake. If you are out there and see my little 12 foot mini sport craft come over and see me. Can't miss the boat with the blue bimini top.
  3. Thank you for all the welcomes. Now that I have been here a while I have been having a lot of fun fishing Stone Mountain, Fishing in Georgia can be a all year sport with some what nicer weather to deal with. Winter does have those warm days to go and play/ and it seems that fish do bite all year down here. I have met a lot of interresting and lovely people on the lake this year. Yes I am the old man that loves to talk about the little boat I built. After all it is very different from the normal fishing rigs found in the Geiorgia lakes. Fishing is my Passion, building the boat is my exersize that keeps me going, showing it off is a joy in life. If you are on the lake and you see the TommyD mini Sport Craft come on over and say hello.
