Thanks RM. This is what I was talking about, FWIW.

I just bought a new Saros 3000FA and was reading thru the pamphlet that came with it and saw that Shimano recommends loading the line as shown in the photo below. But I've been taught to load line on spinning reels by holding the new line spool perpendicular to the reel in a way that emulates the way the line is naturally shaped from being on the spool packaging. I don't know if this matters or makes sense, but thanks for any input you might have. Oh and, great forum you have here.
