  1. 17 combos?!?! Wow...and here I thought I was a stud with 6 combos. Lol post a pic of that bow...lets see that bad boy.
  2. Congrats on the new boat! Enjoy it and post pics.
  3. I was going to suggest the same thing. Both DSG and bps have exchanged or refunded rods for me. I usually don't keep my receipts so they just look me up under my rewards card. Oh, also at Bps I was able to swap out a two yr old bps rod with broken tip. This one wasn't under my rewards card so they asked me to buy a an extended warranty for like $20 bucks and gave me a new rod on the spot. Not sure if it was a bend the rules kind of thing but they found a way to help. Just an idea.
  4. Wow that's a sweet line up.
  5. Amazing! I've never had a day like that. I hope I'll get my chance soon. Thanks for the pics, enjoyed them. Ed
  6. Thanks guys, but I was really interested in a color DI combo with bag. I'm researching different units to learn about functionality. Never used one before so I'm not yet familiar with what can and can't be put into a portable version.
  7. Thanks jhoffman, I will look it up to order.
  8. Hi all, I am off to a Canada trip next week and would like to purchase a portable fish finder. I have seen some with down imaging which look awesome. Any recommendations you have would be much appreciated. My budget is $550 max. Also, I have seen ones that come in a bag which look pretty sturdy. Any opinions for a good unit is much appreciated. Btw, apologies if I'm posting in the wrong category, I couldn't find one strictly on fish finders/GPS. Thanks!
  9. Excellent advice guys. I'm going to check with my local trailer shop here and see what they have. Thank you!
  10. Hi all need some help. Where can I go to order a new axle for my 1998 trailstar trailer? I went to replace a blown wheel bearing today and noticed the spindle is damaged. Unfortunely the spindle is not bolted on, it's actually part of the axle (looks like its welded on). So I need to buy and replace my axle but have no clue where to look. BPS while very helpful was not able to determine the axle I need, they actually need to see it. I dont want to risk driving it in its current condition. I tried searching online for a part number but nothing comes up under the trailer description. I contacted Tracker and they also were not able to provide me any help. I'm all out of ideas. Any recommendations?
  11. That's great to know. I'm going to PM you shortly. Thank you!
  12. Anyone out there use or have used the GLX 855 crankbait rod? I'd be interested in your opinion. I am thinking about buying this rod, love throwing crankbaits so it will be my go to rod paired with a revo winch. I know it's a bit pricey for being a one trick pony but like I said I love throwing cranks and will use this as my primary rod. I just returned my veritas winch rod to bps due to bad guides. Actually, I exchanged the first one and then returned the second one. Both had the same issue. So before I take the plunge I would love to hear opinions on this GLX. Thanks all!
  13. Will do, I'll check that out tonight! Thanks for the resource!
  14. Would someone mind posting pics of various ways a fluke can be rigged?
  15. Glad to see another Urban angler. I'm near bucktown myself. Haven't fished Lake Michigan because I never really knew where to go. I'm going to start trying montrose and Belmont piers and just explore various spots. I'd be down with meeting up with some other local anglers. Let me know.
  16. Jtesch, where in Lake Michigan do u fish? Shoreline or boat? I'm in chicago and desperate to find fishing spots near my house. I normally have to travel over an hour to get to any decent fishing locales. I understand if u don't want to devulge a favorite location. Thanks!
  17. Thanks guys this has been really helpful. Was thinking of getting this for my 6' mf GLX CR722. I mainly use the rod for swimjigs and trigs and wanted to find a nice reel to match.
  18. Hi all, what are your thoughts on this reel? Which applications does it handle best? Pros, cons? How does it compare vs abu MGX?
  19. Hi all, I was considering the Villian series rods from Abu garcia. What do you think about those rods? Are there better rods out there at that price point? I would be looking at a 7' medium moderate for cranking and looking at a 7'5+ heavy fast for throwing big baits 3/4 to 2oz. Opinions?
  20. sounds good, I'll just look for one that seems sized correctly for my cranks. Thanks!
  21. Thanks Diggy, I think gr8outdoorz suggested that same strategy. I'm going to try it tomorrow on 15lb fluoro. Hopefully i dont get skunked again.
  22. Not sure, I paid $99 for mine at BassPro. Are they sold for less through other outlets?
