Thanks for the welcomes everyone! Making a trip to bass pro thursday to pick up another baitcaster/rod combo and some lures. Ill be hitting the lake in the early morning and then jumping on the river. I'll be following the directions from sam and give it a shot.

Thanks guys! Sam.... thankfully I live 15 min from a bps store what kind of line would you recommend? I went out and bought the live target field mouse lure....and no luck lol got it snagged on more lillys than anything else lol

Hey everyone!! My name is Mark. I'm new here of course. I come from south eastern Wisconsin...Kenosha to be exact. So I've fished since I was a kid but nothing too extreme. Recently I'm becoming more active in the fishing world as I enjoy it a lot! But as any other person new to this, I need some help. I went fishing tonight, just some fake worms and came up dry. I think I'm doing it all wrong between the right colors for conditions to technique to proper bait. I don't if its better to use bait or no bait. More less I need everyone's help!!! lol I just got a new reel too! kinda excited about it!! It is a Bass Pro Shop's 2012 Extreme Matrix Carbon Fiber Bait caster. I need to find some good line and a nice rod for a reasonable price (some guidance would be great) Sorry If I'm all over the place here I just need a lot of help lol Other than Fishing I enjoy being a FireFighter. It is a passion of mine and enjoy every minute of it. I also enjoy Cars/Trucks and Harleys. Camping and any other outdoor activities are a blast to me. I'm a young guy, only 22 lol.
