  1. I totally get where y'all are coming from. I guess to clarify I don't mean that I think the components are weaker because they are lighter. I DO like a lightweight reel just in a larger size feels more comfortable to palm. Like I prefer the feel of a Quantum Exo 200 over the 100 in my hand. Does this make sense? Smaller reels like the Revo's I feel like my fingers tips are all that's touching it so I'm not holding it as solidly.
  2. Hey guys! I'm new to the site here. Just really got into fishing seriously this year though I've fished several times over my life (I'm 35) I had never caught anything. This year that all changed. I decided to pick up a reel and rod and a green pumpkin shakey head at the recommendation of a friend and hit a small pond lake near my home and wham the bass were hitting! I couldn't believe I was pulling these things out of this tiny lake. Never in my life had I caught a fish and boom here I was catching them everyday I went. Well this went on for a good while I was having a ball then went to down to West Point Lake to see the Bassmasters Elite guys. It poured down rain while there but I still had a great experience. So, after seeing that I headed back home and hit my little lake and NOTHING! I have not caught a single one there since May 4th! I dunno what's up but that's ok, I keep trying. My buddy took me on his boat to Lake Allatoona a couple weeks ago and we caught 29 between the 2 of us. Again, mind blown! First time on a boat in my life. And first time catching that many fish in a day. Awesome!! So, anyway that's a little on me. Glad to be here to soak up info and tips!!!
  3. Hey guys! Am I the only one who likes larger sized baitcast reels? Everyone is going lighter, smaller reels. I have nothing against those but there's something I like when a pick up a reel that has substance. How bout y'all?
