I have a couple of the carbonlite rods and really like them. The rods are very lightweight and sensitive and you can get them on sale occasionally for $79. Also, if you live near a Bass Pro Shops you cannot beat the warranty. I just got one for fathers day and one of the inserts came out of an eyelet and they exchanged it no questions asked without a receipt. I was in and out with a new rod in 5 minutes.

I usually start with a buzzbait then throw a pop-r or a zara spook.

Mine is a jig...love to fish a jig and then probably a fluke on a weighted hook.

I was in a local shop about 2 weeks ago and bought a GL2 855 and they had a good selection of the GL3's. Like Hootie said, they could be leftovers though.
