I've checked the bargain cave and all I ever find in there are broken off rod tips! It's unfortunate because there are some very nice rods just unusable without coughing up more money to get em fixed properly. I'm heading up to Okoboji soon so I'll check out the Fishermans Factory Outlet up there and see what they got. Appreciate the help guys. I'll just keep an eye out for clearance prices!

Hey everyone I'm on a budget with this one. I've got a spinning reel sitting around and need a decent rod for shaky head fishing. Does anyone know if a rod between 40-60 bucks would be worth it or should I wait and find a little higher quality? Specifically looking for a 6'6" Medium-Fast rod.

Great idea it'd be really useful. Never sure where to find decent largemouth in Eastern Nebraska other than Summit. I'd be willing to give it a shot!

I've got two Abu's, both Revo SX's. One is a 6.4 and one a 7.1. I use the 7.1 for spinners and crankbaits while the 6.4 more for soft plastics and jigging, but I love them both, in my opinion best reels for the price. Plus they have a lot of power. I even use them for catfish and they hold up to the test no problem.

Fremont Lake #20 has some quality fish in there, plus only about a half hour drive from the metro area. Just as NebraskaBasser said, Summit is very good. I've fished it several times and caught countless 3-5 pounders out of there. Stage Coach (south of Lincoln) is another very good lake, I've heard of several fish over 8 pounds being pulled out of there. Hope this helps.
