  1. Alex, I usually go to Tilles park in Rockhill Mo, they have some decent fish this summer and a ton of bait fish. Haven't check much else out around here. If you find anything good, let me know!
  2. Tried mine out last night 6'10" mf, worked great. The trigger ( I'm Assuming that's what it is) my first ever new rod, felt small when casting. Am I missing something? I cast right, one handed, and reel right. Always have so it feels natural by now.
  3. Got 4 small ones last night on a spinner and buzz at Tilles. I got them all in the far corner near the grass/lily pads. Anyone know if Kirkwood Park is decent fishing from the bank?
  4. Thanks guys! Heading out again this weekend.
  5. Hey everyone! First, thank you for the wealth of info on the site. Truely awesome stuff. Grew up fishing 6 ponds on my uncles farm in Washington MO and spent a lot of summers there. Then dad got a boat down at Tablerock and did most fishing there from 11-16. Since then, haven't fished at all. Finally, helping my folks move I found all my reels and rods packed up and broke them. It's been a fun summer. Got 26 largemouth between 1-4lbs on the 4th at a family BBQ lake that never gets fished. Right now I have two old bait casters from my dad, late 1990's / 2000. Just ordered a Lews speed spool and 13 black ***. Here's to coming back! And thanks for the help as I am sure I will need it!
  6. St. Louis here, anyone know if Tilles Park lake has any bass in it? Been there 4 times: plastics, spinner, buzz, crank bait and have nothing to show for it except practice after several years of non fishing. The itch is back!
