Hello, my name is Chris and I live in the western suburbs of Chicago (Lisle). Grew up fishing with my family, have fished both fresh and salt water (was born in NJ). I fished up until my teenage years locally in Illinois and really got into largemouth fishing as my older brother is obsessed and showed me how much fun it can be. As work schedules got busy and life took over, for whatever reason I stopped fishing for a few years.
I've been missing it, but my tackle disappeared and most of my fishing stuff got lost, damaged, or thrown away throughout moving over the past few years. Finally this year I decided to get back out there and I must say, I am addicted again.
I found this forum while looking up information on drop shotting and Carolina rigging as these are two techniques I haven't done yet but heard so much about. I do not own a boat or motorcraft and fish mainly from the shores. However my brother owns a fishing boat and is constantly talking about the benefits of both these techniques so I went online to start doing homework and see if it's something I can apply to my local fishing spots since I fish from the shore 95% of the time.
Anyways, thought I would introduce myself. Looking forward to learning a thing or two from you guys and will share my own experiences along the way.

Couple pictures from this season (I really need to keep my cell phone closer to me, I always throw them back without a photo lol)
Then this guy that decided to smash a rattletrap I was using. Not a bass, but sure was fun to reel in
