  1. Today they were hitting green salamanders and black/pink powerbait worms. Got 20+ bass, a few over 3 pounds. My friends wife caught her first big bass, and I got a bass on a topwater lure for the first time ever right as it was getting dark.
  2. Looks interesting, I have a few of those lures that I've never tried, hard to use all the lakes around me are really weedy.
  3. I lost the biggest fish of the day yesterday to my line breaking. I caught like 7 or 8 small ones that had left my leader roughed up and never bothered to fix it. Oops.
  4. Went out yesterday afternoon on the canoe and caught 15-20 bass all from 1-3 pound range. Lost one monster that broke my line, though the way it bit off that 15 pound leader I'm guessing it was a pike. Most successful bait was green rubber salamanders on a carolina rig in about 8-12 feet of water. Berlin Pond was just opened to fishing last year after being closed for 60+ years so I know there are some huge fish hiding in there and I plan on going back to find them. Once I find the big ones, I will post pictures of them.
