  1. I'm iffy on both. I have a Chronarch 51e that's starting to have problems. I'm avoiding gen 3 Revo's. Too much bad press. I am moving towards either JDM Shimano or high end Daiwa. I have high hopes for the Tatula as it would save me some serious money.
  2. I feel the need to mention that sensitivity is subjective. Everyone has a different opinion. As a bank fisherman, I prefer a $300 rod over three $100 rods. No need for sweeping generalizations.
  3. Yep, a MH or an H. Are both your M's in Fast action?
  4. I had not noticed. I'll have to check that out. Purple powerworms do some work.
  5. Aw, man. I just sharpened my pitchfork, too.
  6. I might go grab one and put it up next to my ***. Anyone interested in a comparison write-up?
  7. Chronarch 200e7 from the choices given. If you can wait, the Daiwa Tatula is looking like a solid reel. Additionally, Shimano should have an October release.
  8. If you're going to pay retail for the Veritas, there are better options outside of the Abu brand. If these are your only choices, do as others have said.
  9. 4 inch Green Pumpkin Senko, but you probably knew that already. Green Pumpkin or Pumpkinseed Zoom Tube with a jighead stuffed inside. The bigger the jighead, the better. It imitates a craw or goby. Gobies are like Smallmouth Powerbars. Baby Rage Craw in Hard Candy with a bullet weight of your choosing. Those are my picks.
  10. I have one of the glass rods. They're ok but certainly entry level. I have heard bad things about the durability and construction of the graphite rods.
  11. Sigh. The monkey. Shimano reel foot doesn't fit in your $100 fenwick? Buy a Cumara. It's sure to fit there.
  12. We also can't have more than two hooks on a line. Watch your A rigs.
  13. Good grief. Where are you fishing that you're worried about messing up a $70 rod? 7' mh is a good frog rod.
  14. You could pair 8 lb invizx with 10 lb PP. I believe that it is pretty common. No buyer's remorse that way. Matching diameters is more important with a uni to uni knot. It matters much less with an Alberto.
  15. I've always liked Storm Thundersticks. $4 a pop and they are good if you want a floater. I also use X-raps with success.
  16. That would be a great 1/4 to 3/8 oz jig rod if the cover is moderate to sparse.
  17. I am experiencing a similar shutdown in lower Michigan. Downsizing has brought in a few fish, but I can't hook up with anything consistently. Last night it seemed like there were no bass in the lake.
  18. Might be too much. I had a very nice time throwing 3/8 oz spinnerbaits with one and it felt like the sweet spot.
  19. Have you tried calling them? Email can get lost or sent to spam or all sorts of nonsense.
  20. Take it back. Screeching isn't normal.
