I was on the channel side, close to the bridge, Tried everything

Have anyone gone fishing at Hains Point? It's frustrating...I've gone there, and there's suppose to be bass, and catfish and others and I catch nothing. I have ribbit lure, crankbait, spinnerbaits, grubs T-rigged, and getting one pack of brush hogs next week. I have an ugly stik and a Penn Fierce 6000. I don't catch anything...I spent 3 hours today and nothing...only thing I didn't try was a live bait.

Thanks for your answer! I'm thinking about a rod that could work as a fly rod and a medium action rod. Fly rod for small fish, medium action rod for snakeheads. What do you think?

Hey guys, I was thinking about doing fly fishing first and then go on and buy another rod for bigger things but I found the Ugly Stik BWS 11070 (here) which has amazing reviews everywhere, and got a really good score for weight test. Would that rod work for fly fishing aaaand snakeheads fishing? Or do I need the Ugly Stik for Snakeheads and another for fly fishing? Thanks in advance!
