  1. ML Spinning rod and a MH Baitcaster. 6lb Fluoro on spin and 14 fluoro on bc
  2. I have seen a lot of posts on tubes lately and I know there is a video about rigging them but I do mine different. Figured I would throw in my 2 cents. I rig a 3.5 or 4 inch finesse tube on a 3/16 shakey worm. I fish it just a little faster than a shakey head. I have found it is a killer for smallmouth.
  3. I have built on both of the MHX blanks. I think you will really like them and the 941 is my all time favorite rod. It is the best thing since sliced bread.
  4. I throw tubes as often as I can. I love Cabin Creek's 4 inchers. Their salt and pepper with green or blue flake is just killer. I fish them with a weedless insider head or on a shakey head. I use 14 pound fluorocarbon. The water I use is also super clear and they kill anything and everything that swims.
  5. A 7'6¨ medium flats popping rod with a 7:1 baitcaster. It is great for anything from shakey heads to tubes to a drop shot in a stretch. Also is great with a fluke or senko. Really shines for finesse jigs also.
  6. I build my own rods and put them on their because it looked cool and they were light weight. I have used the uni to uni for braid and fluoro but I always got a backlash when casting.
  7. I have used mono, fluoro, and braid. I was wondering which one everyone likes for micro guides. I normally use mono or fluorocarbon with braid as a backing. I am considering using braid with a leader but I cannot get a knot small enough since the guides I am using are a size 2. What about everyone else?
  8. Ok I didn't see all the bubbles. A halogen lamp will definitely fix that.
  9. It looks to me like your rod wrapper is oscillating when it turns. I used to use a drill for mine and it did that sort of thing. Try and get it on a flatter surface. Also putting a halogen lamp on the guides helps the epoxy flow and set up faster.
  10. I use whatever catches fish in tournaments. I have a lot of confidence in the plastics I pour but if I don't have what the fish want I just switch out. That being said I might be a little stubborn about switching to ones I don't make.
  11. That is right
  12. OK. Mine is missing the two bottom options.
  13. Must be missing something big. It just isn't there. I cannot find it for the live of me.
  14. There is no place to click on personal messenger

I do not know how to send a private message. Can anyone let me know how? I checked the help section but I still couldn't find the button or section for it. Thanks
  16. If you will PM me I might be able to help you. I cannot figure out how to send and I do not want to take a chance on breaking a board rule
  17. I use a 7'10 for light finesse jigs and a 7'6 for regular and football jigs. I feel the longer length give me the ability to take up more slack on the set.,
  18. I use Cabin Creek's 4 inch tubes in the salt and pepper with flake colors. The green and blue are my two favorites and are killer in clear water. Smallmouth love them and I have caught some huge largemouth on them also. I prefer to rig them on the weedless tube heads instead of texas rigging. They seem to spiral more and I have better hook up ratio with them.
  19. The reel has been used a ton since I got it. If I am not using it my is in the back of the boat using it. How much of a chance is there that I ruin it? I am pretty handy with things but would rather not risk it. Thanks everybody
  20. My Revo S is making noise and is not very smooth anymore. It feels like something either on the gearbox side or the worm gear for the line guide. I took the line guide apart, flushed it with Reel Butter and compressed air and then reoiled it. Did not help any. I it not bad when the left side plate is off but when I put it on the sound comes back. It has worked great up until now. Any ideas why or how to fix it?
  21. I do not have any except my trolling rods. That is only because they have not been switched over yet. For the price I cannot buy a better rod than one that I can build
  22. I have a tournament being run out of Jamestown Marina on Saturday. I am not gonna be able to do any prefishing. Does anyone have any tips or pointers they are willing to share? Thanks Ben
  23. I just set a finesse tube in the middle of the bed and wiggle it until something happens. Something always happens and since it is so small the hook up ratio is pretty nice
  24. If they are flat bottomed it isn't too bad. super glue the flat side down in a plastic dish and wipe everything with a thin layer of oil or vaseline, keyword thin. Too much might mess it up. Pour in what ever mold material you want and let it cure. It should pop right out and you are set.
