Thanks by the way would a dobyns champion 735 be a ok for those small swimbaits i dont know how good and extra fast rod would be for smaller swimbaits

For next year i really want to try getting into swimbaits but i want to try smaller cheaper stuff first like hydra tails and g2 shell crackers for example. I wanted to throw littler stuff like this on a pitching stick since they are not to big but i was wondering if i could throw them on 17lb fluro. I understand braid would be the better option with a fluro leader but this past year ive become more comfortable with fluro than braid.

I love using a strike king tour grade swim jig in bluegill it has caught many fish

Duckett Micro Magics are my favorite rod in the world so Im pretty excited for the ghost rods as well. But thats the only difference i can remember is that they have insertless micro guides.

I agree with a Lews Speed Spool as well for just 100 bucks it is super smooth and is perfect for begginers.

So I went to the one off on windsor road today. Just to make sure they are two little ponds next to some apartments and what i think is a bank right? I saw a larger pond on the way there but it looked like it was private. When i went to these two little ponds i saw 2 bass but i could not get a bite for the life of me so i was wondering what do you guys use there because i tried everuthing from plastics, squarebills, rattletraps, everytpe of jig, and spinnerbaits without luck.

I did forget to say that my favorite spinning rod comes from fenwick (it an old eagle gt) My dad got me when i just started to learn how to fish. That rod has caught literaly almost every single species of fish both fresh and saltwater living in Southern California. I caught my First LMB on it which is still my PB 10.5lb (If i can find the picture i will definetley put it up) I have caught on it calico bass, spotted bay bass, sand bass, bonita, halbiut, leopard sharks, and even snagged a 150lb thresher shark (long story) and yet it of course snapped my line the rod still remained in take. So I might have to reconcider what i said to be my favorite rod company and replace it with fenwick.

Since there is so many rod companies out there evru one has a favorite. My favorite would either have to be duckett or the Wright and McGill skeet reese signature rod. I just started to use the skeet rods and I will say for 90 bucks it is the best rod I have ever used.

Today I went up to a "pond" and caught around 15 bass throwing a red eye shad in bleeding gizzard shad. (I know some people dont like ponds but hey I just moved up to Illinois from California and we never had ponds so this is a treat .) There are a lot of brush piles from trees falling down in the water and its easy to get hung up and since there are a bunch of sticks that knick my line so i decided to use braid. I usually never use braid for any type of crank bait or rattle trapbut i decided to give it a shot. The only reel i had that even had braid had 65lb power pro but i decided to still use it and it worked amazingly. I would throw it over a brush pile and burned it back. Well doing this was AMAZING in two hours i caught 15 the biggest being 2lbs but it was fun regardless of size and thats all that counts. (I will say I am sorry for putting the fish on the ground i usually dont)

I also forgot to ask if I shouldn not even get a kit and just buy them in a pack sort of like what Tackle Warehouse offers

I wanted to change the bearings out on my mg speed spool but i have never done this before. I watched a few videos on how people do it on other reels and i know what tools i would need but i dont know what kit i should get. Looking on numerous websites i saw there is kits for so many different reels but none specifically for the tourney mg speed spool. Is there a kit for it i just have not seen? Or is there another kit i could use?

I have looked at the pond in the Yankee Ridge subdivision and it looked pretty well the only problem is there is tons of no tresspasing signs there and i have no idea who to ask permission to fish it. The only pond i have really found was Crystal "Lake" but all the fish there are tiny and besides it is not the safest spot to be in haha

A long time ago i was going to buy a veritas but i heard they snap easy and the guides break so i saved my money and got a duckett. But has anybody had a veritas snap on them or guides break off?

i like using havoc pit bosses as well as rage craws i tend to yo use pit bosses more cause they are cheaper and the have nice action but you should definitely use rage craws

yep my second favorite bait to use. If i cant cath them on anything else i know for sure i can catch them on a square bill especially the kvd 2.5 in sexy shad

So whats the main difference between johnny morris signature series and the carbonlite im having a hard time telling the difference

Today it has dawned on me that I have used SOOO many reels from different companies but have never used a BPS reel. So I have decided to try one out i am stuck on a pro qualifer, carbonlite, or a johnny morris signature. I'm not so sure though on the johnny morris because if im about to drop $160 i might as well get another BB1 but idk im curious what people think the best BPS reel is.

So my sister and her 2 little kids came over to see the new house my parents and i moved to and her kids started to mess with my rods when i wasnt around. Well long story short they ended breaking my 6'6 BPS Bionic blade by an inch or two and then "removed the evidence"(flushing the part down the toliet.) But hey im not mad i was actually laughing pretty hard my only concern now is how can I fix it so if anybody has any ideas that would help me a ton. I have never used flurocarbon just mono or braid but I was looking to try it out when looking on bps i saw flurocarbon coated and 100 percent flurocarbon and I was wondering what is the difference. Is flurocarbon coated copolymer?? What would be my best option? (If it may help I am using it on a jig rod.)

I would have to say it is a tie with me between a frog and a jig

get the bb1 it performs amazingly and cast a mile.
