I know you don't HAVE TO fish a buzzbait with a constant retrieve, but as compared to a jig or spinnerbait, I would say that most people over 95% of the time fish a buzzbait with a constant retrieve. I guess the point I was trying to make is that the fluttering "action" that you get when you stop and go fish a spinnerbait or a jig with a silicone skirt is really not a factor with a normally constant moving buzzbait.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't think it would matter much on a buzzbait since it is fished with a constant retrieve. I could see how it would make a difference on a jig or spinnerbait.

Would a skirt for a buzzbait being made out of bucktail instead of silicone make any difference?
