  1. Look for structure, that"s the important thing you should look for.
  2. RVADOG, I have the same problem. I tried every single soft plastic in my tackle box and nothing, zero, nada. I fish the canal on 97 ave and Fontainebleau Blvd. We should plan a fishing trip with one of the Floridians.
  3. Ding Ding Ding Ding! That's the fish. I couldn't tell it was a jaguar because the jaguar picture on the FWC website looks like a different fish. Thanks BassinLou. And btw I can now add another species to the list.
  4. Not a bowfin and definitely not a peacock. This was something else. I hoped is not another invasive species. It was around 14 or 15 inches long. And a good fighter too.
  5. More description to see if someone else can identify it. No whiskers. Spotted on lower part of the body(breast) and a long anal fin snakehead like.
  6. I meant to say "Thanks for the help"
  7. Okay guys, I was fishing tonight in one of the canals here around the fountainbleau,Doral area and I catch one on this. I don't know what kind of fish it was and the picture is pretty bad because i couldn't take a better picture before the line snap. I didn't want to grab it by the mouth because i didn't know what kind of fish it was. It took with him $8 rapala back to the water ( d**n it). Do you guys know what kind of fish is this? That's for the help
  8. Thanks for the infomation. Is this the spot you are talking about??? https://maps.google.com/?ll=25.762793,-80.827703&spn=0.023538,0.042272&t=m&z=15
  9. I decided to try a pond instead for a few hours because I didn't have much time for the trip. I catched two nice Largemouth ( First two Largemouths I catched here in Florida). I'll try to catch that spot later. Thanks for the tips.
  10. I was driving thru Tamiami trail / 8 st last Saturday ,when I passed the Miccosukee Casino I saw some people fishing the canal on the right (Going from Miami to Naples). I'm thinking that I would try to fish there for Large mouths tomorrow. I want to get some opinions on the fishing there, Is any good? Safety? I'm new to the area ( i lived in the fontainebleau area) and any help will be much appreciated.
  11. I tried to fish around here in south Florida today too.. I'm not an expert on Peacocks but I think peacocks will bite when it's sunny. Any tips from you or any of the other guys on where to fish from the bank around here. I live around the fontainebleau area.
  12. Green pumpkin is my go to color for bass... I also like cinnamon blue flake, but that color have been hard to find lately. Tomorrow i'll try Bass pro shops's Okeechobee Magic stick-os... Good luck
  13. I tried to fish a really small canal, here where I live, no luck, I can see the bass chasing the baits but for some reason they won't bite. I'm new to South Florida. It loos that there's endless places to fish around here.
  14. I have seen that and while the bass was ambushing the shad to the shore, birds were feeding on shad that jump out of the water and landed on land. It's amazing the things you see when you are outdoors.
