  1. I fish this huge pond at my hometown, and I learn something new about these fish every month to create the right pattern. Today I was stumped though, because I could not get the bass to bite to save my life. i noticed that the wind was coming from the northeast about 10 mph, and i tried to follow the wind but to no avail. i spooked two bass hiding in the weeds on the bank, and i threw a finesse worm, spinnerbait, swimbait, texas rigged junebug zoom u tail, and a carolina rig with a u tail. no bites. the only bite i had the bass nipped at it and pulled my worm from the hook. from the left side of the pond is shallow 4-5 feet to the end which is a rock quarry is deep 12-20 ft. did the bass go deep because of the north wind? i fished today 9-17-2013.
