Only my ring finger is behind the trigger, but I have fished like that for years and this is the only reel I have ever had this happen with, which is why I think its due to placement of the thumbbar. For example on my Chronarch the button is moved over to the side and I have never done this. Its an odd issue and I feel stupid having it tbh haha but I just wanted to see if others had had the issue as well

So these two rods are close to the same price now depending on where you look. Did the Triad replace the Terex? I know you never see the Terex anymore. Which one was considered higher end when new? Thanks!

So I have been using a Smoke Speed Freak lately and I am finding that pretty often when I go to set a hook I hear the gears grind where part of my palm pushed onto the thumb bar. I have never done this before this reel. The thumb bar is very close to the side of the reel where your palm rests. I am just wondering if anyone else has noticed this being an issue for them with this reel? I love the reel but at this point I am thinking I want to find something I can use it for that does not require any hook setting.

Hey guys so I am working on my understanding of channel swings. In different videos it is explained differently and I am unsure exactly what I am looking for when fishing channel swings. So my understanding is the channel swing is where the channel comes in close the bank and then goes away from it. So I have seen some people say that what you are usually looking to fish is the part where it is the closest to the bank creating the steepest drop. Other people say what you are fishing is the area of the bank that is less steep where the channel swing first comes towards or first goes away from the bank, these areas almost create a triangular shape if that makes sense. Which is it or is it both and you just need to fish both until you figure out which the bass are using at that specific time?

hmm i already have 2 735 in the Fury line. Maybe I should just stick to that then. I have one for carolina rig and one for football jigs, but I felt like the 735 was to much for up close pitching with the stiffer tip.

So I am in the market for a jig rod. I am looking at one to pitch 3/8 to 1/2 oz jigs plus the weight of the trailer around into cover or sometimes use over points. I want a sierra rod. I was looking at the 704 or the 734. Which would you recommend?

I have some jig heads I want to put living rubber skirts on, where would you recommend I order this?

If you are just fishing a reservoir, how do you know which way the current is going? I would think if it has not rained recently then it is mainly just the wind creating current is that right?

when you are looking around for bait and bass around the marina area, do you see what depth bait balls are at even if they are just suspended way above the bottom? For example say you are 40 ft deep and see bait at 10. Do you then go check structure and cover in the 10 ft range?

Hey guys so in my area I can pick up the Sk comeback locally, but not the buckeye. I am looking for these in 1/2 to 3/4 in a football head. How do these two compare? Is one larger in profile to the other? Im looking at these as an upgrade bait for when I have my limit, so which is the bigger bait, or are they similarly sized?

When you are doing regular maintenance on your baitcaster, do you use oil and lube? I have been told some people like to use just oil on reels used for moving baits and oil and lube on flipping ones. Do you differentiate in any way, or how do you maintain it? Thanks!

What kind of line do you guys use for hollow body swimbaits? Im thinking like 5in zoom paddle tail swimmers swimbaits

What would you use a bc in this ratio for other than crankbaits?

Do you always check for a thermocline when fishing, and is there ever a reason to fish deeper than the thermocline. Can you catch fish deeper than it?
