  1. The reel is by the boat at my fathers house so ill try all the ideas above as soon as i get there. Big thanks!! @new2BC4bass Thanks for explaining that. My confusion is not so wierd as it may seem. In Swedish "spinning reel/rod" is what you guys call "bait cast rod/reel". Its exactly the same word but means the exact opposite apparently. Spinning reels are mounted on the top of spinning rods with swedish terminology.
  2. Thanks a bunch fort your replies. Im not new to fishing but i am new to trying to explain fishing terms in english. FishinDaddy says i have a problem if its a spinning rod with a casting reel. Would really appreciate if you would elaborate that. In regard to the knobs (breaks?) i have tried everything.. I use a ambassaduer when fishing pike so i am not new the that kind of reel. Still throw so short.. hmmm
  3. Hi guys. My father bought me the reel in the picture below. Been trying to fish it (bass) with the rod in the link below with a 0,12 fireline. Somehow cast extremly short. Iv been trying to adjust the breaks (tried alot) but with no great success. Iv also tried sending an email to "bassproshop" but they couldnt help me. Since i live in sweden i dont have the opportunity to walk in to an store and no one around here is an expert on the brand. So if you guys have any theorys to why i cast so short i would very much like to hear them. May it be the line? to thin? or the flat shape of the fireline? Thanks alot and "skitfiske" as we say in sweden! Link to the rod http://shop.lundgrensfiske.com/product.asp?product=5881 The reel Couldnt post an image... Name of the reel is "BassProShop Johnny Morris JMX10HLD Highspeed"
