  1. I was considering trying a huddleston or a MS Slammer and I dont have a swim bait specific but I do have a flipplin/punchin stick that'll handle 2oz without a problem but havent tried any more than that. Ill definitely invest in a nice set-up once I get more confidence in them. Thank yall for all the support!
  2. Ive thought about going the jon boat route but the by the time Id finish the set up i want, the cost would be about the same as a older bass tracker. At that point I would rather put the extra bit of money to get everything brand new.
  3. I was wondering if anyone has been having any luck throwing swimbaits. I caught about a 3lb bass with a 4 inch but was thinking about upgrading the size of the bait to get bigger fish. Has anyone tried this or am I gonna be the guinea pig? Any tips or suggestions?
  4. Thank yall!

Hey, I just wanted to introduce myself. Im a college student in Northern Virginia and I also work full time with any remaining time being spent on the water. Ive been fishing ever since I could stand. Ive only fished one tournament so far but would like to do some more. I joined the forum to pick up some advice on how to keep getting better as an angler.
  7. Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any feedback on these boats. Currently I am using/borrowing my brothers 14ft flat bottom john boat but want to get a boat of my own. We put the decks, carpet, rebuilt the outboard etc, so I am not afraid to a little work. I dont plan on doing any major tournaments maybe just a few small club run ones. I fish in the Occoquan reservior 99.9% of the time with the occasional trip to the Occoquan River. The max hp for the reservoir is 9.9 and the majority of the river is a no wake zone so motor size isnt really an issue. Any input would be great! Thanks!
  8. Hello all, I am new to swimbait fishing and located in Northern Virginia. Has anyone had any luck with em? Where should I start?
