Any suggestions as to a good rod? not looking to spend a ton but give me a reasonable suggestion.

I'm am looking to start upgrading my rods and reels, but am wondering whether to upgrade to a nicer rod first or a nicer reel. Also I would appreciate suggestions of what to get for both.

I have a pair of costa 580G and 480G and I absolutely love them both, but if you can id get the 580G, you really can tell a difference.my friend has some maui jims and ive worn them and theyre great too.
