  1. I learned how to use a bps pro qualifier last year. Great reel. I have 4.
  2. Hey guys, Anyone fish these spinner baits? If not you may want to look at them. No I'm not selling them. I bought a couple last year and they were awesome. I can make hundreds of different combo's with all the different blades and skirts. Really effective and if you like to create something on the fly, this may be worth checking out. Might be worth checking out. Oh yeah, if you are in the Nashville area, go up to their shop in Hendersonville at Hook1. They will really work with you and get you want you want.
  3. I've heard about the hard vs soft lead. I know the wheel weights have some metals added to them. But as long as you smelt the lead and flux. You can clean it. I don't plan on using water on them. All the dirt comes up to the top. I do presort them so I am sure that I'm getting all the steel and zinc ones out. I've read that some people have been using free lead sources for ever. Its a very interesting thing to do. Thanks for your input.
  4. Looking for advice on fishing times ford lake. I've never fished it. I'm used to fishing old hickory lake. Clear water will be interesting. I'm thinking wacky worm, crank baits and maybe a spinner bait. I'm also thinking a jig. I know the water is clear. Lots of rocks and not many stumps. Old hickory has lots of stumps and not many rocks! Just looking for some advice. I've been on the lake once and its beautiful. But never fished it. Thanks,
  5. Guys and gals, I have a question. I was recently given a big bucket full of wheel weights for free. I was looking at getting into making some jigs and sinkers. I was reading on do-it's web site that they don't recommend using wheel weights because it is a harder lead. For those who have some experience with this, do you use or would you use wheel weights? You have to clean them I get that but is there any reason once you smelt the lead and go through the whole process you can't use them? People use them all the time I know for bullets. Let me know guys. Thanks,
  6. maybe you should look at Hook1. all they do is kayak fishing. they can customize a kayak. they have several different models to pick from. Chad over there is a good dude.
  7. What part of Nashville? Im part of a club in Sumner county called reelmenofgod.com A great bunch and I don't have a boat. Have a look at the web site
