Hi Thaddeus, Did you get a Rarenium 2500 or 2500S. I know the "S" is for shallow spool. I was interested in getting one too but am afraid in colder conditions that the shallower spool will allow the stiff line to fall off and cause tangles. I usually fish for steelhead in temps under freezing. Have you had any issues with the shallow spool? Thanks for your imput, and if you could share the website or link to where you made your purchase.
