Very nice job. One question. What did you use to connect the structural bracing to the ribs on the boat? I have 16ft Lowe that I would like to start working on this winter. Another question I have is about paint. So if anyone has any suggestions on what to use to paint it please help.

Not really a safety tip but here it is. Ear protection. Flying down the lake can get very loud and the constant noise over time can cause permant hearing loss.

Not sure if this might work for you. I remember seeing something about electric motors that attach to your big motor. Minn Kota has them all the way up to 202 ft/lbs at 36 volts.
