I am a new member to "Private Water Fishing" (joined in Dec. 2013) and had nothing but a 12- foot jon-boat& trolling motor. Came to find out that a lot of the lakes have a boat, you just need a trolling motor& battery. For that matter a lot of the lakes in the club are amenable to bank fishing. I can honestly say it has been far & away one of the BEST decisions of my life ! Even my Wife appreciates the joy & solitude I get from my half-day excursions that I go on a average 3-4 times a month. that's another benefit of the club. You can reserve most club lakes for half-days, A.M. or P.M., or for the whole day- often with very short notice. I do most of my fishing during the week when there is little competition for fishing time, sometimes with 24 hours notice! I highly recommend this club for the avid or casual fisherman in Texas!
