Fished at Wyandotte yesterday, caught a whole bunch of dinks at the dam on a drop shot. In my excitement to get out fishing, I completely blew by the “No Fishing from the Dam” sign. A nice guy across the way pointed it out to me. Anyone know why that is?

Spent a couple of hours at a pond in Platte City today. I wasn’t expecting much but tried a drop shot for the first time. Caught 5 dinks on the drop shot and 1 on a Ned rig. I was very surprised how close to shore they were all caught. Water couldn’t have been over 40 degrees

It’s going to be a while, especially with another shot of cold weather. Ice was 8” in some areas around town. That’ll take more than a week or so to clear up.

Lake Fork Marina

First time posting, I appreciate all the insight on all the local lakes. Got out to Rocky Hollow near Excelsior Springs. Cold and a little breezy at times. Caught 4 of 5 within 7 casts not too far from shore. Dragging a football jig painfully slow. Biggest was 5 lbs. I'll attach some pics when I get close to a computer.
