  1. I'm a huge fan of the KVD jerk baits. Whether he actually uses them or not - I do. I've had a lot of luck with them, and they've helped me out in plenty of tournaments as well. Also, as weird as the color may be, try out the Strobe Shad. Lost mine recently and will be ordering another one.
  2. Just bought some wire from Home Depot and soldered it to the power cables on the trolling motor. Also put some connectors on the ends of the cables so it can still be bolt down to the battery. Made it long enough so that it go under the deck to the battery in the back. So you do have a foot pedal with your trolling motor?
  3. What kind of trolling motor do you have? I have a bowmount trolling motor, so I made the deck, bolted the motor to it, and just extended the power cable so it could reach the back where the battery is. Also, if you make the deck, I highly recommend you sink the trolling motor down cause it makes the foot pedal so much more comfortable to use.
  4. Thanks you very much for the story and for your service as well. I pray tbhings continue to go well for you and your wife.
  5. Atleast you'll get some good salmon fishing there
  6. I think it's awesome trying different things. There's quite a few things I've done that seem off the wall, but have lots of luck with. Keep trying and maybe post some pics.

As mentioned before, they work real well in clear water. Another good thing about them is you can throw it in most areas and not be afraid of getting it stuck.
  8. I've known about these for the longest time, and have always wanted to get them. I think it's about time I order me a few.
  9. I had no idea this was such a huge topic. In my opinion it would def be common courtesy to not fish near someone's boat if your aim isn't that good. Even still, if my aim was pin point, and someone requested that I not fish his docks, I would comply. I'm sure there are other docks to fish, so no point on arguing about one.
  10. That is definitely crappy about your buddy. I'm surprised me and my fishing buddy haven't hooked eachother yet. We fish together on my 8' pelican all the time haha. As far as barbs go, I keep mine. Gives me that extra sense of security.
  11. They could be Academy's lures (H20 Xpress). Check it out online and compare. Either way, nice find.
  12. Hey Jakesnapper. My battery went out awhile back and so I just used the oar I had as my back up. It worked decently, but once the wind picked up it really sucked haha. I definitely would only use that method on a small pond, cause you'll oar your ass off and then realize you've only gone a few feet!
  13. Academy's Diamon Dust has always done me justice. I just upgraded the hooks. It is one I will always try If I can't get anything to bite.
  14. I have Academy's backpack and all my plastics in zip lock bags (inside the academys bags). It makes it really easy to move from place to place.. I keep craws with craws, lizards with lizards, etc, but I try to keep them with like colors. Awhile ago I had bought baby lizards, one pack of watermelon red and a pack of red. when I mixed those two together in a bag, the watermelon reds turned completely red. That happened to a few others as well.
