Hello All,
I began fishing at an early age when my family lived in South Carolina. Some of my fondest memories are of my dad and I fishing on Lake Wateree in our Bass Tracker 17'. Catching largemouth bass and even some crappie when we wanted to do a fish fry. I also will never forget wading in the Wateree River below the Dam and catching a 30"+ striper when I was 8 years old.
About 17 years ago we moved back to Pennsylvania, where my family originally comes from, and the fishing stories still piled up. I've begun smallmouth bass fishing, mostly in the Lehigh and Delaware River, and I can't believe how much those suckers fight. Even though my Dad has been put out to pasture, he retired to Florida, I'm still out there fishing and trying to catch monster bass. My wife and I are expecting the birth of our first child in March and I can't wait to teach my child how to fish like my father taught me.
I've been checking out the forums on Bass Resource and it seems like there are plenty of genuine and honest people willing to help each other catch the next big bass. I'm excited to bounce some ideas off of other anglers and to learn a little bit more about bass fishing. Cheers!
