  1. Thanks for the info cadman. I've learned a lot from reading your posts on here and some other forums.........I agree the 7/0 is a big hook, but there is no way that the 5/0 would work in the 7" swimbaits that I have.
  2. Cadman, I need to use the 1/2 and 3/4 cavity......smalljaw, I have been using the 30 degree. I know it calls for the 60, but the 30 will fit in it. I don't mind modifying my mode if I can find the hook I need. I'm thinking I need at least a 7/0, and preferably a round bend.
  3. Does anyone know of a hook that will fit in this mold for bigger swimbaits. I use the mustad 32886 5/0 for my 5" swim baits, but they are too small for the 7" swim baits that I recent bought.
  4. Thanks for all the help. Hopefully I will get this problem corrected this week.
  5. I have occasionally been having trouble with something on my rear passenger side wheel overheating. About 2 months ago I pulled to a ramp about 10 miles from my house. I got out of the truck and smelled something burning. I had smoke coming from that wheel. I let it cool off for a while before I put in. I fished for a couple of hours and took it easy coming back home. When I got back home, I checked it and their was no sign of any trouble. I have probably pulled my boat 10-12 times since then with no problems. Yesterday I went fishing and had no trouble on the way to the river. On the way back home, I rolled down the window about a mile away from my house and I heard a slight whistling or whining sound. When I got home I could smell the burning smell again. It does not do it every time, but it is always the same wheel that does it. I have a tandum axle trailer with surge brakes. Is this my wheel bearings or my brake on that wheel sticking? What do I need to do to fix this problem? Thanks.
  6. Go with the Sears Diehard group 31 AGM. This will take care of your problems. I have had the same trouble you have for the past couple of years. Bought this battery and took care of all my problems. I run a Lowrance HDS 10 and an HDS 8 with structure scan and livewells all day. Finally I can enjoy fishing a tournament and not worry about whether or not my boat is going to crank at the end of the day.
  7. I recently had the same problem when I would take off and stop. When I had my boat serviced this year, I had them take a look at it. All they had to do was bleed my brake lines and the problem was fixed. My reservoir had ran out of brake fluid and when I refilled it, I didn't know how to reprime the lines. Maybe that is your problem also. Quick and cheap fix.
  8. I am needing a new cranking battery this year and have about decided on the group 31 agm diehard by sears. Has anyone had any experience with these or the group 31 agm by x2 marine from batteries plus. Or is their anything better out there? Not really concerned about price as long as it will hold up and not leave me stranded. Thanks.
