Wow you got lucky!

Abu garcia has a Gen 3 and Gen 4 reel... Which one is a better buy? I found a Revo STX, for $125.. Something must be off here..

I have a brand new Orra 30 Spinning Reel that I'm selling. Plus i have 2 Orra sx LH Baitcasters that I'm selling. One Orra baitcaster has never been touched. The 2nd Orra i used 5 times. If your interested, please PM me.

Thanks for the advice.. Everyone has their own likes towards a certain brand. I can 110% understand that. Did some internet searching and what if, i can get a Revo STX $125 Brand New.. I'm an abu Garcia fan, but have finished with Shimano in the past. It'll be very tough to turn that deal down.

Yeah, that's what i thought.. I'm an Abu Garcia guy. I have 2 Revos, but i just can not afford the high prices. I don't fish as much as i used too. That Daiwa reel looked pretty good.

The reel looks nice.. I have one daiwa reel. It's $180 version of the T-wing system. Now that's a great Reel. Let me ask this, do you buy nothing but Daiwa Reels?

I tried to get some research on these Reel.. I love Abu Garcia, but this new Shimano looks very good. The Reel wars isn't what i'm after. I just want good advie on both. What Reel would you buy and why..

Yeah, that's a big difference. Revo X is now my go to choice. I think most of you, are Shimano fan boys in here. A graphite frame reels doesn't hold up. I had one I'll never buy another reel. Where's all the Abu Garcia fan boys at?

I like fishing 3/8 oz jigs. I'm not a heavy power fishermen. I think the Revo may be the reel for me. Seems like it can handle what i do. The Shimano seems more of a finese type reel.

A few things come in to play with casting distance. 1. Lure weight 2. How you have the Reel setup. You seem to have a good learning curve on the reel. Try messing with the spool tension knob. Loosen it a bit and see if you backlash. The reel settings are for certain applications you do while your fishing. Give it a go.

I'm looking for a new reel. Any of you guys have any experience with these 2 Reels? Comments on the 2 please

Does most Lews reels make a noise doing the retrieve?

I heard it, before i lubed and oiled it. The noise sounds like brass gear rubbing on dry brass gears. I know it isn't true because i lubed the reel.

I recently bought a LFS ($99) Reel. When i'm retrieving, i'm hearing some sort of noise in the reel. I lubed and oiled this reel last night. I'm still getting the same noise.

Don't get a Silver Max combo. Get a good Bait Caster. Get the Abu Garcia Orra SX. It's a great reel for a 100 bucks. It'll be worth the money in the long run.

Thankyou for the advice. I got it open. Now i ran in to another issue. 1st off, i'm not sure if Lew's Lubs there Reels. I took the Reel apart and the brass bearings where bone dry. I thought the Reel felt weird when i was fishing with it last night. I should apply grease right away?

How does the side come off where the spool is? I pull out the silver bar, but the plate won't move.

Yeah, sorry man your too late. The Sale is over. I bought my Lews LFS for 71.16. One heck of a steal. I was using it today. Money well spent!
