  1. Yes, should have specified that it is spinning. I will have to check out this St. Croix rods. I had some problem with guides on some lower priced st croix rods in the past, so am a little wary. Are they still made in the US? I would love to pick up an IMX, but for whatever reason, basspro doesn't list them on their website.
  2. New to this forum and am looking for some help in picking up a new bass rod. I currently have $250 on a bass pro gift card to spend on this. I know most won't agree that there is one rod to cover all aspects of bass fishing, but I am looking for one that is the closest to being all around. I have a 3000 Shimano CI4 to put on the rod. The CI4 was previously on a G Loomis shaky head rod, but I returned that because I just didn't like the action of the tip on that rod all that much. I am looking to get another G Loomis in around a 6'6 to a 7' length with preferably medium light power. How are megabass rods as well? My brother raves about them, but I always loved loomis'. I do mainly smallmouth river fishing with jigs, but also hit up largemouth ponds with topwater quite often as well. Would like a rod that performs well in both situations. How are the bronze back and mossyback series?
  3. I am from New Jersey but am currently going to school in Nebraska. Happy to join this forum and get a chance to share stories on monster bass!
