I know the basics. Heavier lures and bottom baits you want heavier power with fast action. I have not tried any of theses set ups yet. I have the 5:1:1 on the 7' med/mod for crankbaits. I have one set up 6' 6" mh/fast with 6:4:1 for spinnerbait. 6' 10 w / a 7:1:1 for jigs. 7' med/mod w/7:1:1 for top water spooks and Sammy's. 7' mh /med fast for buzz baits. That leaves 3 poles left. Not sure what to use for frog pole do I need 7'6? Maybe I need to do some more trading. Thanks
Ok that's a great point. Guess I am looking for help picking the right set for each tech. Like what rod and reel set up for spinnerbaits, senko, weightless worms, jigs, swim baits, crankbaits, square bill and lipless. I have an idea for each one but was hoping for some input to help make the right set ups. I have never had specific rod and reels for a certain tech before. But I know it help me with being more constant with my fishing.
I have been buying and trading all winter Long. Also been doing a lot of research on power and action. This is what I have and need some advice on what set ups for each tech. I want to really start fishing tournaments, I am going to use this year to practice on specific baits for certain rods and reels.
For rods I have got 8 falcon bucco micro guides. 2) 6'6" MH/ fast
2) 6'10" h / med fast
2) 7' m / mod
2) 7' mh / med fast.
1) cabelas tourney trail m/fast
1) convergence 6'6" mh / ?
Reels are all lews. 4 tourney pros 7:1:1
4 tourney pros 6:4:1
1 bb1 5:1:1
1 bb1 7:1:1
I have been trying to figure out which set for different technics. Also if I co angle on a boat the set up is going to have to be different correct? Thanks for the help.
