  1. I was at Neshoba 2 days ago. Water was high and really muddy after the storms. Fished a spinnerbait and a rage blade, zero bits in about an hour. There was and abundance of snakes that ran me off. I only fished the side of the pond where the Baptist and small offices are.
  2. Great Idea, count me in.
  3. I may get our early tomorrow, but it's been so hot lately im sure its worth the time.
  4. Always a good time with Kent, thanks again for the Recon worms. Pleasure meeting Jamie as well. The Grove has been slow lately, no doubt, but i dont have a private pond to fall back on
  5. I've got the next 6 days off for a little staycation so if the weather is reasonable I'll be hopping a bunch over the 6 days. If anyone wants to get a line wet let me know!
  6. I dont even know about it.
  7. I will more than likely be there around 6 but I can't stay very long. Weather could be a factor.
  8. As of 9am this morning it was still open and they were still biting.
  9. It was very busy this morning. Fortunately the buzz bait bite was still on and I got to meet Kent, which was a pleasure.
  10. Thanks JDJ, good to know. North MS, I get out every Sunday morning as long as weather isn't like it is right now (heavy thunderstorms).
  11. It's bigger than what I've been catching too. Cole caught one about the same. Grove Park seems to have some bigger fish but maybe not as many bites overall. Just my experience so far.
  12. Cole and myself did ok at Grove Park on Sunday morning. We both had a nice one on a buzz bait.
  13. NorthMS, I've only tried 3 spots here. Collierville civic center, Neshoba park, and grove park. Neshoba is probably my favorite when the water condition is good. Right now it's still pretty awful from the flood. Hitting grove park early tomorrow.
  14. Neshoba is completely under water. The running trail, park benches, all of it. The water is up several feet and is the color of chocolate milk. There's a considerable current towards the spillway behind chik fil a. Also i stepped on an ant hill, so yeah...awful day.
  15. Yeah Jeff this weather is ridiculous. I might try tomorrow if it lets up at all. Been pouring for about 18 hours now.
  16. I'm going Sunday morning if anyone wants to join. I'll more than likely try Neshoba again (chik fil a pond) unless anyone wants to go somewhere else.
  17. Me and G hit Neshoba ( chik fil a) on Tuesday morning. I got all my bites on a black and blue spinnerbait. Tried a senko wacky rigged with no bites. The previous Sunday morning i hit Collierville civic center with Cole. There were schools of bass surfacing for shad but just barely out of casting range. We still managed to catch a couple. I appreciate Cole and G taking me out on my first two Memphis fishing trips. First of many.
  18. G im off work Tuesday, got somewhere in mind? Email me at jdouglas@taketheforty.com
  19. Cole i have no clue what im doing but i love to fish. Ive never fished once since moving from knoxville to memphis so if you ever want to beat the banks with another amatuer, let me know. That goes for anyone else as well. Email me jdouglas@taketheforty.com
  20. Faustino those are great pictures but it doesn't look like you're "pond hopping". You're making me jealous!
  21. I really need to get out and try these spots. I live in cordova so I'll probably head to Neshoba first. Great Info here.
  22. Hey everyone, I just stumbled onto this topic through a google search. I'm not native to Memphis but I'm looking for fish, this board is a great resource and I appreciate all the insider info. Hope to see some of you beating the banks soon. Doug
