  1. First time posting to the forum, but have followed for a little while. Always a good resource and feedback to other posts seems very helpful. I'm looking to get a new spinning rod, which isn't ideal, to use mostly crankbaits and top water. My budget is under $150. I'd like a rod with medium power and moderate to moderate/fast action. I feel like that would be the best combo for what I'm looking to do, but not too sure. I looked at the mojo bass and a few others but all I can seem to find is medium power and fast action. Falcon has a bucco spinning medium and medium taper, but calls for heavy line. I'd like to have 10-15lb braid. As far as what I'm looking to do what are the options I have? Would a medium power and fast taper work for cranks/top if I keep the tension on the drag down? I realize casting rods offer more, but I'm fishing from the shore with little room to work with. I'd be more comfortable with a spinning set up. Any help or advice would be very appreciated. Always interested to learn more. Thanks Ryan
