Straight braid/ braid with leader is what I use for jigs, Usually its straight braid though.

If you have an academy nearby pick up their store brand digital scale, its cheap and reliable. ( sorry can't remember the exact name lol I think its "tournament choice" or something) I weighed a 4lb bag of sugar In a Walmart plastic bag and it said 4lb 1oz.

How do people rig swimbaits with weighted swimbait hooks when they don't have the screw-lock? My cousin bought some affordable swimbaits that came with weighted hooks that had no screw lock, he asked me how to rig it and I didn't know how, if you tried rigging it like a normal Texas rig the weighted part would make a huge hole in the bait...

Same here, records are meant to be broken... Besides if the bass is over the state record then chances are if you release it then it won't be getting much, if any, bigger and the bass had already spawned lots of times for the people who believe genetics are everything...

I'm long overdue for a trip to Lake Seminole.... We were gonna go not to long ago but the house we have in maryanna got burglarized and completely trashed, they took everything that had any value except the stove (probably because it wouldn't fit through the door)

Now I know what I need to put in the Power Ball thread, I would take a trip to Lake Baccarac if I won the lotto! Apparently that place is big bass heaven, its amazing how many double digit bass I hear about getting caught there.

If I'm using a thin worm like a trick worm I'll use a normal offset round bend, if I'm using a thicker bait like a craw or creature bait I'll use a EWG. If I'm pitching/flipping a Texas rig into thicker cover its always a straight shank tied with a Snell knot. Try them all and figure out what you like the best different situations. And remember it HAS to be Mustad!
