  1. I don't understand that either. 7inch riser here, 6'2" and I'm flat footed and knees still up a little. You have a super thick padded seat or something?
  2. Looks good. Wonder how it gets into your pontoons.
  3. Oh sorry, yeah mine is to drain water out of the floor, not the pontoons. There are already drains in the front of the pontoons in the pelican.
  4. Nimbus, a page or two back i talk about the drain plug.
  5. Several companies make the 12' boats like dink linked to, they're a little more like a v bottom boat. Still pretty cool. Pelican makes the predator.
  6. I meant the hubs, one side, the Cap fits really tight, the other one doesn't and that's the side that had water in the bearings. Thought about putting a big oring around the cap lip to see if that would seal it. It's so much easier when backing it in the water. Btw bearing buddies won't work with the stock metric hubs. You have to change the hubs out with standard 1" hubs.
  7. Be careful backing them in the water. I've been doing it this spring, checked other day and one side had water in it, the other didn't. Chasenfish, be careful with the two tie brackets on the back. I left those off to avoid the risk of gouging in my boat.
  8. Nimbus have you at a pedestal? I agree with the 42" wish I'd gone with it. I have to bend a good bit when standing.
  9. I expected to have to cut the shaft on my 36" and glad i didn't. Highly recommend buying a 8" pedestal to raise the seat too! So much more comfy not having your knees bent and legs crammed up.
  10. Get the minn kota endura maxx!!!!! The digital control lasts like 3-4 times longer than an analog tm. I have the 45lb and it's great. Also use 29 battery. I fish all day going up stream in a small river and have never been below 3/4 charge at the end of the day.
  11. This is what we used, but a different size. It's the only thing i could find that uses a nut. http://www.iboats.com/Thru-Hull-Connector-3-4-White-1-1-4-Hull-Cd-Attwood/dm/view_id.163179?cm_mmc=Google_Main-_-Mall+Product+Listings%3AGoogle-_-+%3AMall+Product+Listings%3AGoogle-_-Attwood&mkwid=GyCR7taZ&pcrid=41829038899&pdv=m&gclid=CjwKEAjw1KGqBRC55bru-sa7zCcSJAAxsBf5ls3OhGlQEBJ8fyweDO9pxTCdIFFBwRqpJ6CYD33rNxoCNd3w_wcB
  12. Minn Kota Trolling Motor Power Center http://www.walmart.com/ip/Minn-Kota-Trolling-Motor-Power-Center/20511018
  13. Make sure you use a breaker. I use the minn kota battery box with built in breaker. It's so worth the money!!!!!!! Highly recommend it.
  14. Mine came prewired but it's either 8 or 10 ga. I had to change the plug on my new minn kota because it was the same as the boat comes with. I added a drain plug to the back, they all have the recess because they used to come with one. Don't know why they stopped.... Probably to save a dollar or two. I bought a drain that has the hose nipple on the end and just cut that off. The floor is very thin between the top and bottom layer. Maybe half to 3/4" gap. Drilled a 3/4" hole with a hole saw bit. I'd go with a larger drain if i did it again. Think mine has a 3/8" drain hole. Make sure to use marine adhesive 5200!!!!!!!! Not silicone. It's available at academy and probably wal mart. I drilled my hole, put the fitting through, put the nut on bottom side and screwed it tight then cut off the end flush with the nut, using a hack saw, remove, add some 5200 to top and bottom then stick the fitting back though and snug the nut back on. Not too tight as to push all the adhesive out between the fitting lip, nut and floor. Remember to allow room for the lip of the fitting when you drill the hole. It's very simple. I'm gonna add one to the front eventually. I sit in the front so the water runs up there.... Pretty sure it sits high enough to drain while in the water. My brother also added one to his. No problems for either of us. Academy sells the brass plugs, they're adjustable but get the one that will fit the size drain you get. One more thing, do not buy the fitting with the push on nut thing. I tried two and couldn't get the sleeve thing to go all the way on to save my life!!! Plus they're not removable, the nut ones are. In case it's ever necessary.
  15. It was last summer. I'll look at the receipt tomorrow.
  16. I ran into that issue when i bought mine and missed it by one day... I think it was 30 days but not sure.
  17. Alh3939 i can't remember when the 10 went on sale but i do know that if you buy something at academy and it goes on sale within a certain time they'll refund the difference. You'll have to call and ask how long. They may even tell you when they'll go on sale.
  18. Yeah I keep a large Plano tray In there and a kayak anchor, led nav lights, skeeter spray, waterproof box with phone and wallet. Other stuff and a telescopic emergency paddle
  19. Milk crate fits perfect under the seat. I glued some of the non slide mat stuff to the bottom of mine with 3m spray adhesive.
  20. The clear flex hose works great and is $3 a foot. That's what everybody uses on the kayak group I'm in. They're holding up.
