Came across your post on this reel as I was interested in it after seeing that they will be on sale for $79.99 starting 5-15. I have several of the new version Abu Garcia Revos STX and SX's and love them. I also have a Lews Speed Spool Tournament the $149 reel and a Lews MG the $129 reel. Comparing the two Lews I have to the Revos I am ver pleased with them and have no issues with them after countless hours of use. The only advantage for the Revos is they are a tad lighter, but the Lews seemed to be tad smoother. Now as for the reel you are asking about it appears to be very comparable to the $149 Lews Tourny reel. I do however see that it has 10lbs of drag versus the 14lbs of the tourney rig, but it is lighter than the two Lews that I have coming in at 7.4 oz versus 7.9, assuming that is the frame material mentioned above. It has the dual brake settings system like the $149 version and has 9 +1 bearings same as both others..... I believe I will be trying one out especially since I can get two basically for the price of one of my Revo's...Good luck.
