Thanks guys I think I'm gonna go with a 55lb.

Now I have an old evinrude 45lb thrust 12 volt. Thinking of going with a new 55lb thrust. Will I see much difference in power and will I see much difference in battery life? I have a lowe 170 bass boat and the 45 has been ok but 4th speed is out of it. It works but runs the same as 3rd. While I'm asking does anyone know how to fix this problem?im not good at trouble shooting electronics.. Thanks any advice is appreciated.

Thanks great info. We did good the weekend of May 17th. Went back memorial weekend and caught less than half the fish. I would like to fish outside the bay but know nothing about that area. We took a ride out just to look and there were no boats anywhere and the bay was full of boats. Is it worth fishing outside the bay like around the old smoke stacks and the shoreline? Don't really want to go far out on lake just outside the bay.

Anyone fish just outside the bay for smallies? I've fished the bay 6 times in the last 5 years but never ventured to the lake. Was wondering if it was better fishing just outside the bay. Ive talked to different people and some say it's better on the main lake and some say the bay. Any info would be great. Not looking for anyone's hot spot just some good info. Thanks

Hi guys first post here. Been reading for awhile but just joined. Anyways been to pib the last two weekends. Water temp is 63. Two weeks ago was great. This past weekend really slow. Ended up with some but very slow. I caught 18 in a day and a half dragging Erie darters. Anyone ever fish outside of bay around smoke stacks In the spring?
