  1. why the hate on the SINKs? When i was looking to upgrade my kayak this past summer i was able to paddle alot of different boats. I ended up going with the jackson kilroy and i LOVE it. i have a problem with dropping things in the lake and the SINK helps with that, also i rented a cuda 12 which is very similar to the kilroy just a SOT. i like the kilroy alot better. to me it feels faster, and more stable because the bottom of the boat sits under the water, im 6´3 190 and have no problem standing in it.
  2. What is the best kayak paddle for under 150 bucks?
  3. I have an ardent forage and it's pretty good fo 50
  4. Anyone fished lay recently? I have a tournament there in a couple of weekends but I'm not able to go check it out beforehand due to my recent loss of wisdom teeth. Is everyone catching them deep?
  5. Dobyn's fury... I have 3! They are mean green bass catching machines!!
  6. We all have nice fancy PDFs with a lot of pockets. I just ordered a chinook and I'm trying to figure out what I should keep in the pockets while I'm on my yak. Any suggestions? Tell me what yall carry? Thanks, Blake
  7. 703 fast, casting for most soft plastics, finesse jigs, t-rigs, and spinnerbaits 735 extra fast for jigs, bigger t rigs and chatterbaits 7'6 heavy for pitching, light punching, football heads, and c rigs 702 fast spinner for dropshots and real finesse stuff 6'10 glass cranker for crankbaits that's what I use in the yak
  8. Has anyone fished a Cuda 14? I just want to know if it's hard to stand in..... Thanks!
  9. Has anyone tried the Cuda 14. I'm gone get a new kayak next weekend and I think it's down to this or a feel free 13.5. What can yall tell me. Thanks!
  10. I'm about a week out from investing in a new kayak. I looked at some feel frees today. The feel free lure 13.5. Has anyone paddled one of these before? Are they extremely slow? If anyone has any info on them that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
  11. The frogs have some pretty beefy hooks. So you want braid to drive those bad boys home. With poppers you have the treble hooks and, with what I've experianced, you want the mono so when you slam into a hookset the mono will stretch so you won't rip the hooks out of the fish.
  12. I realllllly like the trigger x spade tail worms. Especially in junebug. They have become hard to find tho.
  13. What do yall think about finesse jigs? Do you like them? When and where do you throw them? What equipment do you use for them? What's your favorite finesse jig? What weights are most productive? I'm just trying to get a better understanding of them. Thanks, Blake
  14. What do you think I can throw on the 703. All I have been throwing is shaky heads, and 1/4 ounce trigs with 3/0 and under hooks. What are some other things this rod could handle
  15. Or should I return the 703, get the 704, and later on buy the 703 spinner?
  16. So my plan here is get the 702 spinner, I have the 703 casting, get the 735, and add those to my mojo target cranker and 7'6 flipping stick. Sound like a setup for this year?
  17. what power do you think I should get for jigs, t-rigs and things of that nature. I would be throwing into some hairier cover but nothing terrible. do you think I could get away with a 704 or should I bite the bullet and go for the 735. I would be mostly for like 3/8 and 1/2 jigs thanks, blake
  18. I plan on buying either the 735 or the 705. this will be for my jigs, spinner baits, and bigger t-rigs . I am really enjoying the rod.
  19. I got my dobyns fury 703 yesterday. I managed to get it out on the water today. First off it's well balanced with my lews tourney mg. the real seat is comfortable and all together it's a light rod. It also has great sensitivity for the money. But the things I'm not into........ The "fast" tip is slower than my 40 yard dash. I wouldn't say it's lacking backbone but for a medium heavy it's a little on the light side. So the 703 is great for throwing shaky heads, wacky rigs, t-rigs, and spinnerbaits into light cover, from what I have experienced I want to go a power higher for jigs and tossing things into heavier cover. But my pickiness aside it's a solid rod. This are just my first impression.
  20. Just ordered mine!!
  21. How does the Jackson kayak Kilroy stack up against the Jackson kayak Cuda 12. I'm in the market for a new yak and these 2 are at the top of my list. I can't find anywhere in my area to demo them. I really like to stand and fish so which is better for that. I also do a lot of camping from my kayaks so which one is fast for the long paddles. Just trying to figure out which one would suit me best. Thanks, Blake
  22. What is the best size rod for throwing flipping jigs, t-rigs, spinner baits, chapter baits and things of that nature. I was thinking 7'3 mh fast. What do yall think?
  23. Square bill, senko, and an arced head type jig
  24. If you could only fish with an arsenal of 5 rod and reel combos what would your choices be? Mine would be- 7'6 mh fast with a 7.1:1 7'3 mh fast with a 7.1:1 7'1 m fast with a 6.8:1 6'10 m glass cranked with a 5.4:1 Spinner 7 ml fast with a 6.2:1
