P Line Flouro
Thanks. I was sort of coming to the conclusion that I may need to notch the poundage down. Or, do the braid/flouro thang.

Sucks! Stiff and springy (10#). Guess I'll have to try the sniper or invizx stuff.

Thanks man. I think that's actually a 3# fish. I bought a new scale (spring style) and misread it (tested it on a 5# weight today). Heading out to Jacomo tomorrow morning.

Pulled a couple of nice 2 pounders from Cat Claw this evening. Shaky Head for the win!

Does anyone know what kind of kayaks are for rent at lake Jacomo?

thanks, I may have to call them. I looked at the schematic, seems like the parts are there as diagrammed. It's like the bearing gets stuck in the spool. After I pop it out and reseat it, I put the spare spool on and the bearing doesn't stick to that one. Weird.- Abu Garcia Revo Sx (Spinning)
So I got my Revo SX40 in the mail today, and I think I have a problem (not familiar with this reel). Should there be a bearing on the shaft when you take the spool off?- For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Looking for some lakes to do some fishing off the bank as I don't own a boat. Been taking my daughter out to James A Reed, but I want to check out some other areas. Drove around Blue Springs and Jacomo last week trying to scout out some areas to fish from the bank. Not sure there were many bank fishing areas (uncrowded), plan to scout it some more. Also planning on renting a boat with my dad next week to take on Jacomo during a weekday. Any recommendations from the KC crew? BTW, I haven't been fishing in 10 years and starting to get back into it heavily and getting my 7yr daugher involved. Been lurking on this site the past week and really enjoy the information on here and the friendly banter.- Abu Garcia Revo Sx (Spinning)
interesting to know. I wonder if some of it has to do with it not being lubricated well enough from the factory. I picked up some quantum hot sauce to work on my revo when it comes in. Wonder if that would've smoothed out the CI4+.- Abu Garcia Revo Sx (Spinning)
thx for the feedback. I'm looking forward to put this thing into action. Since I've been getting back into fishing, I didn't realize a lot of folks use baitcasters. Been trying to weigh the pro's/con's between the two as I do like to fish worm/jig as well as top water/spinbait lures and don't have the means to fund multiple rigs yet. Seems like I'll be just fine.- Abu Garcia Revo Sx (Spinning)
Does anyone have any experience/thoughts on the Revo SX spinning reel? I haven't fished regularly for lil over 10yrs and finally getting back into it. I always bass fished with a spinning reel (how I was taught by my pops). At any rate, I picked up a stradic ci4+ 4000, took it home, and noticed it had some rotor rub sound out of it. Took it back and noticed all their stradic's were like that. So I returned it and have been looking at the Revo SX, actually bought one online, should get it this week. Was curious what some more experienced fisher's thought of them. Also picked up a Johnny's Morris II from BP over the weekend (7'2" MFA). Looking forward to hitting the lake this weekend.- For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Nice fishing man! I'm thinking of taking a boat out there next week (prob rent theirs). It'll be my first time as well.- If Anyone Is On The Fence About A Shimano Stradic Ci4+ Jump And Get It
Same thing happened to me. Bought a Stradic ci4+ 4000, took it home, messed around with it and it seemed like something was rubbing on the rotor. Took it back, tried all the remaining 4000's at the store and experienced the same thing. Couldn't stomach spending $200+ on something that wasn't 100% smooth. - Abu Garcia Revo Sx (Spinning)
